Smoking ban to be ensured in Lahore


LAHORE: The district Committee on Tobacco Control (DCTC) has put the finishing touches on a comprehensive strategy to ensure smoke free health centers, government offices and public places in all parts of the regional capital, through the application of laws against smoking. DCTC Advisory Committee at its meeting ina local hotel on Thursday, also urged government departments and civil society toplay its role to make the tobacco free city to create a healthy environment for thegenerations.The the future under the chairmanship of Health Edu Haque also reviewed Dr various proposals for the implementation of laws related to tobacco control across the region . Representatives from the World Health World Shahzadorganization, including the departments of district health, environment, education, social welfare, and the Cinema Society and non-governmental organizations and the wings of other civil society at the present time for the participants meeting.Thediscuss different items of the relevant laws for tobacco control in Pakistan.
