North Atlantic Treaty Organization, Pak military coordination measures discussed

RAWALPINDI: Chairman of the NATO Military Committee General Knud Bartels called on Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani here at the General Headquarters Tuesday.The two discussed matters of mutual interest with emphasis on security situation in Afghanistan and coordination measures between the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and Pakistn Army, said a press release.Later, the visitor was briefed on Pakistan's contribution to the fight against terrorism with special reference to the sacrifices rendered by the nation against the menace.General Bartels also attended a wreath laying ceremony at Shuhada Monument and was presented a guard of honour by a smartly turned out contingent of the Pakistan Army.
